Lightweight construction with plastics: Plastics Cluster teacher’s day at FACC

4. May 2017 Events, Technology

Absorbing, easily understood lectures and a host of practical, illustrative examples were followed by a tour of a leading enterprise in Upper Austria – learning can be fun!

Year on year, GORNIK handles more and more translation projects in the area of plastics engineering. The subject matter ranges from extrusion and injection molding systems to mold production, plastics processing and recycling plants. We are already familiar with lightweight construction involving plastics and the associated terminology through numerous projects.

On 26 April 2017, the Plastics Cluster invited a large number of teachers (mostly technical college lecturers) to an advanced training course in St. Martin im Innkreis. For us, this was an ideal opportunity to enhance our knowledge of plastics engineering and get to grips with organic sheets, prepregs, preforms and the like on the spot. Many thanks to the organizers and the speakers for giving detailed answers to our detailed questions!
